How I Teach
My teaching is rooted in the belief that technical skills are most valuable when they support creative expression. Rather than focusing on rules, I help students build the tools, confidence, and visual awareness needed to bring their ideas to life. Exposure, composition, lighting, and editing become creative choices that strengthen each photographer's unique voice.
Through observation, experimentation, and hands-on practice, students learn to trust their instincts, take creative risks, and develop new ways of seeing the world around them. My goal is to create a supportive environment where photographers feel comfortable exploring, asking questions, and creating meaningful work.
I offer week-long photography camps for teens ages 13–18 with access to a DSLR or mirrorless camera, as well as private lessons for photographers of all ages. Whether you're just getting started or looking to deepen your practice, instruction is tailored to your goals, interests, and creative vision.
Every photographer has something unique to say. My role is to help you discover how to say it through images.
