Students will discover how to create compelling photographs using the camera they already carry every day. Through hands-on projects, photo walks, creative challenges, and guided critiques, participants learn how photographers use composition, light, color, perspective, and sequencing to tell stories through images.
The camp explores both technical and creative aspects of smartphone photography, including portrait photography, landscape photography, photo essays, editing techniques, and the thoughtful use of filters and effects. Students will learn how to move beyond snapshots to create intentional photographs that communicate ideas, emotions, and experiences.
Throughout the week, participants build a portfolio of original work and gain confidence using photography as a tool for creative expression and visual storytelling.
